I would certainly like thank you for putting up a forum as a great tool.
I do know first hand how much work they are. Years back, I had a top 10,000 website with a super active forum. I mean 10k to 12k people posting away at any given time.
It does take a lot of dedicated moderators. Some can spend lots of time, some a few hours a week, but you need to guide them. Or, this forum will just get out of hand real quick. But it's worth it for the conversations, information, etc. Kind of like a living record. DON'T forget to back it up every few days.
Love what you do and how hard you work at it. Don't forget to put some one x one ads on the sides etc. It does take money to keep things running. Also, have a good plan when a server goes down to recover, but make sure you can put up a message to everyone.
